With Anking's you get many more tags (also BG add-on etc) but this deck you get many more citations/exposure to the original textbook content covered by each card. This has proven invaluable to me particularly as an M1 when as I am often learning ahead of the current block or learning the material simultaneously and the textbook info makes it less like rote memorisation! If I were further along, I probably would not value the textbook citations as much as I do now, since I would have already learned so much of the material. This one includes at least one complete textbook (FA) citation with every card while AnKing's will often not have one or include a screenshot and remains much more focused on the discreet contained on each card. Many of the other comments have elaborated on the contextual differences so I will not, but essentially both decks are Zanki just with their own unique modifications. also because I was literally only like three days into Anking's when this was released. ![]() Honestly this is why I have switched decks because it is easier to make the connections between cards. That being said, this card - I looked it up - is identical in both decks however UltraZanki provides the first aid reference (on every single card) as well as three more pages from Atlas below. This deck and Anking both rely heavily on the original Zanki deck. In an 8 week period, I started and finished the path / pharm / micro sections of this deck as my primary resource which took me from low 200s at the start to a 262 final score. Using this deck for Step 1 inspired me to post it online since it was so incredibly helpful. It is truly a masterpiece and the most powerful med school study tool I have ever seen. No but in all seriousness someone at my medical school gradually and painstakingly re-made Zanki (both for Step 1 and Step 2) but this time with citations / screen shots from First Aid, Atlas of Human Anatomy, Robbin's Pathology, Goljan's Lectures, UWorld, and Step Up to Medicine, PLUS added hierarchical tags throughout the entire deck + Pepper decks, PLUS added notes / reminders throughout the cards, PLUS even re-designed it so that it would be a bit easier on the eyes.
